The Eureka! Solar Lightbulb from Smart Garden Products has been awarded GIMA’s highest new product accolade, The Sword of Excellence, awarded to the company with the most outstanding product from all nine product category winners.
Smart Garden Products swept the board with its innovative Eureka! Solar Lightbulb, winning the best product in the Garden Lighting, Water Features & Ornamentation category and subsequently the GIMA Sword of Excellence. In fact, the two other products in the final of the Lighting category were both Smart products: the Bluebell and Snowdrop Solar Flowers. Smart Garden also had three merchandising displays in the final shortlist for the Best Point of Sale category.
The judges described the Eureka! as “The one product you want to take away and put in your garden centre, the strongest product in the room” and “Taking a steer from the current trend for retro design: the good old fashioned light bulb.”
The team behind the bestselling product received their award at a special awards evening and Jonathan Stobart, Managing Director commented “We are absolutely delighted and honoured to have received these awards.
